President

My name is Matthew Tyndall and I am the President for Appalachian Archery this year.  I am a Junior Accounting major with a Statistics minor.  I shoot a Mathews Halon X and have shot this bow for a year and a half now.  However, I have been shooting archery for about 15 years now.  I have always shot a Mathews bow, as that is just what feels best for me.  I have a lot of great aspirations for the club this year.  Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions regarding the club or archery as a whole!

Vice President

I have been a competitive compound archer for over 10 years now. I grew up shooting with my dad and older brother, so to me archery is a family sport. As the Vice President I do my best to promote and encourage a family environment with in the club. I have been a part of the executive board for 3 years now, I started out as the Public Relations Chair and then advanced to the Vice President. You will see my smiling face at every meeting and behind the camera lenses at practices.

I'm majoring in Interior Design, and minoring in Building Science with a concentration in Architecture. After graduation in 2021, I plan to pursue a masters degree to obtain my Architectural Licenses with aspirations of running my own architectural design firm. When I am not working on projects or shooting my bow I am skiing or hiking.

Treasurer

Hello y’all, my name is Chris! I’m a Sophomore that intends to major in International Business with a minor in Japanese. I got into archery due to its unique history and it’s appeal to me as an introvert. Archery revealed good options to me. Solitude or competitive company with each shoot. Archery is a good sport that allows me to express myself. Thanks for reading and have a great day!

Secretary

Hi, my name Meg Miller. I'm a junior and a business management major. I'm originally from Boyertown, Pennsylvania and I transferred to App from University of New England in Maine. I just started archery when I got to App in 2018, and instantly loved it. I got my first bow for Christmas, it's a Bear Cruzer G2, his name is Travis. Being a part of App Archery is probably one of the best decisions I ever made, the team has become a family to me.

Club Sports Representative

Hello my name is Jackson Cooter; but everyone calls me Cooter. I'm new to archery and the club but I was hooked. I shoot a Hoyt Helix and Carbon Express arrows. Outside of school and the club I love to hunt, hike, and camp but archery has become my favorite thing to do in the outdoors.

I am your club sports representative and I represent the archery team before the Club Sports Committee.

Compound Coach

Hey y’all, I am a senior here at App State. I have been shooting compound archery since I was 12 years old and have been addicted to it since. I fell in love with competition starting in high school with FFA and 4-H tournaments, leading all the way up to state and national levels. I shoot a modified 2015 Prime Rival. I love to bow-hunt and fly fish, along with many other outdoor activities but archery is my passion. If you have any questions about compound archery or archery in general feel free to ask.

Alex Bradshaw

Public Relations Chair

Hey y'all I'm Alex! I started shooting archery at camp when I was a kid. I was later introduced more seriously a little over a year ago. I took my first shot and I was hooked! I started with a Diamond and just recently upgraded to the Hoyt RX 3. She is my baby and I love her no matter what the rest of exec says (I once left my bow at the field after practice by mistake....thanks again for getting it Cooter). When I'm not shooting my bow I like to spend time with my boyfriend and our dog as well as hunt, fish, and shoot guns.

Please feel free to come to me with any questions or recommendations about archery or the club! I am here for y'all and I love this team so I always want to keep making it better.

Watauga Gun Club Representative

Hey guys I'm Zach. I have been shooting on and off since I was 10 but once I got to App it has gotten a lot more consistent. I now shoot the Hoyt RX 1 Ultra. My position here is to meet with the Gun Club and report back to the Archery team on updates from their end. When I'm not shooting my bow I like to spend time with my dog and my girlfriend as well as shoot guns, hunt and fish.

Feel free to come to me with any questions, I'd be happy to help.
